What We Need
Early childhood educators need your help! The Covid-19 pandemic exacerbated many pre-existing challenges in the ECE field, resulting in unprecedented staffing shortages and teacher turnover. Join the many voices across the nation as we advocate for higher teacher pay so children can benefit from highly-qualified educators and consistency in their learning environments. A Call to Action
During her senior year at UNC Chapel Hill, Annie Braker sat down with local early childhood education experts as part of her internship with Child Care Services Association to discuss challenges in the field and how further investments can support educators as well as our youngest learners.
Annie's studies and experience led her to conclude that, "High-quality care and education are crucial for the healthy development of children. To best respect and care for young children, we need to invest in their educator Accessible, high-quality early childhood education must be prioritized, and we must invest in our young children, as they are our future."
