Resource Round Up: Book Harvest

December 14, 2022

Durham County and the Triangle Area have many resources available for children and families for almost any need. Child Care Services Association and Durham PreK work with many of them to reach more families, share information, and enhance our services. The Durham PreK Resource Round Up is a way for families and community supporters to get to know different agencies and services in our community, learn about their work and services, and find opportunities to volunteer.

The first agency featured in the Durham PreK Resource Round Up is Book Harvest! Book Harvest provides books and literacy support to families and their children and is committed to ensuring children are lifelong readers and learners. They have a variety of programs beginning at birth! You'll often see them at community events around Durham or you can visit them in their office on University Drive.

They are strong believers in the powerful role books play in children's development, in the importance of parent's and caregiver's place as their child's first teacher, and in the opportunity to learn anywhere. Their services support these beliefs and expand access to books throughout Durham. Read more about Book Harvest's services and opportunities below.
